Back in the Day Show: Episode #5

After pulling a Ferris Bueller themselves last week, your pals, Rob, Josh, and Chris, are back with the latest edition of the Back in the Day Show to discuss, of all things, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Then the guys retrospect about arcades and their favorite arcade games in a sweet 80s Culture Shock / video game fusion segment… thingy. A scant conversation on Snake Eyes’ ninja clan brother, Storm Shadow, follows. And apparently the guys make plenty of mistakes while recording the show, with one of the longest outtake reels at the end of this show being proof. You get all that plus commentary on the Von Steuben Day Parade, the evolution of quarters to tokens, Chinese hexagrams, social engineering, and arcade game and G. I. Joe action figure inflation on this week’s show. So who wants to have a listen? “Bueller? Bueller?”

Special thanks to some talented OverClocked Remixers, including Sixto Sounds, Norrin Radd, and Chris Abbott, for some great arcade game music remixes.

We should also mention that discontinued by popular disinterest is the Name That Game segment. Unfortunately, we had zero–not virtually zero–but zero participation in playing the game. Maybe we’ll bring it back in subsequent episodes, but for now, it’s game over :(
